Of the 21,122 acres that Pymatuning State Park holds, over 17,000 of those are filled by the Pymatuning Reservoir, the largest lake in Pennsylvania. Such a massive water attraction draws boaters, fishers and nature lovers from all around for hours or even days of outdoor fun. Three different campgrounds along with four public beaches make the park a favorite for families looking to get away during the summer. The reservoir is also used as a warm-water fishery, so fishers have a vast supply of aquatic life to go after even as hunters can aim for the ducks that frequent the area. Located on the very western edge of Pennsylvania and spilling over in to Ohio, the lake is about 30 miles south of Lake Erie.
Open daily year round.
Free entry. Activity and overnight rates vary, check website for details.
